59th National Congress of Psychiatry: an ADHD debate and accreditation for the clinic

At the 59th National Congress of Psychiatry, held by the Psychiatric Association of Türkiye in Ankara on 18–22 October 2023, the Adult ADHD Work Unit ran a debate on whether ADHD is a developmental disorder or a form of diversity. In the debate, chaired by Arzu Erkan, Assoc. Prof. Ali Kandeğer and Didem Sücüllüoğlu Dikici argued that ADHD is a developmental diversity.

The Selçuk University psychiatry clinic attended with a large team, and its residents gave oral presentations of their research. At the opening of the congress the clinic received its certificate of accreditation for specialty training from the PAT Board of Psychiatry.
