Sine-Mani, Selçuk Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Psikiyatri Anabilim Dalı’nın eğitim programındaki film okuması buluşmalarıdır. Bir filmi birlikte izliyor, ardından karakterleri ve hikâyeyi psikiyatrik kavramlar üzerinden tartışıyoruz.
Sine-Mani is a film-reading series in the teaching programme of the Department of Psychiatry, Selçuk University School of Medicine. We watch a film together, then discuss its characters and story through psychiatric concepts.

Through the character of Joker we discussed the biological, psychological and cultural sides of trauma and violence, and, following Kernberg’s model of personality organisation, how borderline organisation can shift towards psychotic organisation under strain, and the part dissociative mechanisms play in that shift.

Kliniğimizin eğitim programına eklediğimiz Sine-Mani’nin ilk buluşmasında Black Swan üzerinden dürtüsellik, kompulsivite ve mükemmeliyetçiliği tartıştık. Filmi bir akşam önce birlikte izledik, analizini ertesi gün yaptık.
In the first Sine-Mani session, newly added to our teaching programme, we used Black Swan to discuss impulsivity, compulsivity and perfectionism. We watched the film together the evening before and discussed it the next day.
